Melanie & Harry Dankowicz join together to create elegant papercut designs that unite traditional Jewish motifs with contemporary themes. Using papercuts, calligraphy, and
illumination, Melanie and Harry create sculptured dreidels & mezuzot, as well as ketubot, invitations and papercut wall pieces.

Melanie and Harry have resided and exhibited work in both Sweden and the United States. Melanie studied at Cornell University and the University of Maryland; Harry was educated at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, and Cornell University. The couple began their artistic collaboration in 1994 with the creation of a ketuba for their own wedding.

The Dankowiczs draw inspiration from the countryside of Illinois, where they reside with their three young children.
